New Music School

A greenfield site was chosen within the existing School campus and we were awarded the contract to construct a new Music School to enhance the facilities available to pupils and staff, developed whilst the School remained fully operational.  The complex project was undertaken utilising our wealth of knowledge and experience in order to deliver a completed building worthy of its intended use. 

Throughout the construction period a great emphasis was placed on choice of materials in order to meet the acoustic requirements of our client.  The three-storey concrete framed structure, clad with cedar and stonework with a zinc roof concluded the external façade to an impressive standard.  Internally class, ensemble rooms and a library were created as well as the main focal point of the building, a magnificent recital hall.  This included balconies, retractable seating, theatre lighting and audio and visual installations which provided the School with a superior space for the pupils to demonstrate their musical ability.  We are proud to have been the selected contractor tasked to complete such an inspirational building.
