NEW BUILD RESIDENTIAL

NEW POOL BUILDING, NEAR BRISTOL

New Concealed Swimming Pool

Due to planning constraints the design of this new pool building required the construction to be concealed within our client’s rear garden by the existing boundary walls, so to retain the appearance of the original vista whilst enabling a new facility to be added to the dwelling.

Extensive repairs of the garden walls were undertaken including underpinning where the concrete structure of the pool would undermine existing foundations followed by construction of the building faced with white lias stone.  A curved green planted roof was formed using glulam trusses, beams and stainless steel ropes which added to the internal aesthetic of the building.  The completed structure fitted well within the natural aspect of the garden setting and fulfilled the original design ethos.
