CONSTRUCTION OF NEW DWELLING

Our clients were entering their twilight years and came to the decision that their current living accommodation would not suit their future needs. After careful consideration a new scheme was drawn up which included demolition of their current dwelling and construction of a new property incorporating layout and design ideas such as a lift to enable them to enjoy the property for years to come.

We were delighted to be awarded this contract and set about bringing their vision to life. Following demolition works large deep excavations were formed with reinforced retaining walls to suit ground conditions of the sloping site. Construction of the new dwelling continued at pace utilising the local Bath stone and roof finishes to match surrounding properties. The internal layout, fixtures and fittings were formed to enable ease of use and movement throughout the property and an air handling plant was located within the roof space as well as an Ecotherm boiler to enhance the energy efficiency of the building. The project was beautifully executed and completed to the delight of our clients.
