RESTORATION AND CONSERVATION

COUNTRY HOUSE, WILTSHIRE

Restoration of Grade II* Listed Manor House

A devastating fire swept through the Manor House destroying the interior and compromising the building’s structure.  Our client’s insurance company, involved from day one, formulated a plan to reinstate the house to its former glory and we were honoured to be the project team’s firm choice of contractor, chosen for our experience, capability and superior craftsmanship, more than able to bring the Manor House back to life.

Working closely with the Architect, English Heritage and following listed building requirements we began the painstaking task of stabilising and rebuilding the structure, using as much salvaged material as possible.   Once complete our focus concentrated on replicating the lost interiors and fortunately our client’s photographic records provided a clear indication of what had been destroyed enabling us to replicate the original design.  Nearly three years to the day of the fire, our clients were able to return to their magnificently restored Manor House and we feel privileged to have been a part of such a very intricate and special project.
