Main Contractor: Design and build by Ken Biggs Contractors Ltd
Requirements
Our brief was to construct a new swimming pool and pool house with all associated services incorporating a plant room, kitchen, toilet facilities, changing room and large entertainment space complete with a terraced area. Construction Works commenced with the clearance of the proposed site and excavations being undertaken to form the new pool structure. The swimming pool was then installed with all services as required and a cover was fitted to protect the pool when not in use. |
The next phase of this project was to erect the pool house and foundations were formed upon which the traditional natural stone faced walls were constructed. A new roof was added and doors and windows were fitted to complete the external works to the building. Internally partitions were formed and mechanical and electrical installations were carried out including underfloor heating, hot and cold water supply, drainage, television point and lighting. All walls were plaster boarded and finished with a skim coat of plaster. Fibrous plaster cornices and window reveals were formed and then decorations were undertaken. Engineered oak flooring was fitted throughout and bespoke tiling was added to the shower and changing areas. Bespoke joinery was also added to the kitchen, entertaining area and changing facilities. Externally the new terraced area was formed and landscaping works were undertaken to complete this project to our high standard of workmanship and to the satisfaction of our client. Value: £543,595 |
