Requirements
Our brief was to extend and modernise the existing country house and associated outbuildings to form a main house for our clients, staff quarters, games room, stable block and garaging. Construction The contract commenced with substantial demolition works being undertaken to prepare the site. Once complete reconstruction of the fine country house began using Natural Cotswold stone, natural stone roof tiles and bespoke external joinery. The house was virtually rebuilt leaving only two elevations in place and a couple of internal walls. Internally, works began with the installation of new mechanical and electrical services. High quality bathrooms with porcelain tiling and a modern kitchen were fitted. Bespoke internal Oak doors, frames, skirtings and floors along with a feature Oak staircase were installed. |
Oak beams were left exposed in the ceilings to add character to the building and high quality decorations were undertaken to complete the main house. The next phase was to convert the outbuildings into staff quarters. A stable block was created along with a changing room for use with a future pool facility and a new games room was also formed. A triple garage block and tennis court was also constructed.
Externally, large terrace areas were formed and a car parking area along with an access road was added. The contract was completed to the satisfaction of our client and to our high standard of workmanship. Value: £2.5 million
