Construction
The layout of the main kitchen area included modern appliances integrated into the European Oak cabinets which also housed innovative stainless steel drawer and runner systems, pullout wire baskets and storage which brought the whole functionality of the kitchen up to date whilst great care was applied to reproduce the original Lutyens design. Glazed cabinets were the main feature of the walls separated by open shelving and Teak plate racks above the sink location and a framed Oak panel covering the chimney breast which housed the cooker extractor. Green Welsh slate was chosen as work surfaces and splash backs which complement the Oak perfectly.

The adjacent scullery was of a similar design with a painted finish applied over Tulipwood doors and drawer fronts, finished with Carrera marble work surfaces and splash backs. A chequered black and white floor covering was laid in a diamond formation in both the kitchen and scullery which runs through an open archway connecting both rooms.
