Requirements
Our brief was to carry out reroofing works, internal alterations and refurbishments to the Listed Manor House and outbuilding to provide improved accommodation for our client. All works were required to be undertaken within the constraints of Listed Building Consent and an emphasis was placed on retaining original features of this period property. Construction The project commenced with works being carried out to reroof the building in natural slate to match the existing. Insulation to the roof area was improved and repairs were undertaken to the roof structure, external walls and chimney stacks. Repair and replacement of the existing windows followed to make the building structurally weatherproof and a timber framed conservatory extension was added. |
Internal works incorporated an improved kitchen and creation of a laundry and utility area, dressing rooms and en-suite bathrooms with stone and tile finishes were formed along with the replacement of all sanitary ware and improved drainage works throughout. All mechanical and electrical services were renewed and improved in line with the refurbishment. Natural stone flooring was laid throughout the kitchen, hall and conservatory and internal and external redecorations were carried out as required by our client.
External works, including the formation of steps in keeping with the existing finishes, were then carried out to complete this project to the high standards required by our client. Value £940,000 |
