Requirements
Our brief was to carry out alterations and refurbishment works to the existing barns to form a new domestic dwelling, ready for fitting out as part of another phase of the project. Construction Works commenced with the removal of the old farmyard structure with external preparations being carried out for landscaping which will be completed at a later date. |
Structural repairs were then undertaken to the roofs of the barns and once complete new roof coverings were added along with insulation to current Building Regulation standards. The external walls were then repaired and repointed with alterations being made to window and door openings to the requirements of our client. New doors and windows were then fitted to make the structure weathertight. All works were carried out in accordance with the National England Bat License and planning conditions. A full installation of new mains services was then carried out including water, gas, electricity and telephone links to complete the first phase of this project.
