HISTORY

Ken Biggs Contractors Limited, a Private Limited Company was renamed in 1967 and has developed an excellent reputation over the years since it was first founded in 1928. As a local family company spanning three generations we aim to provide personal attention and services of the highest quality in compliance with our customers specified requirements with a comprehensive after sales care.

OUR WORK

Our experience in all types of building and construction is well known; this encompasses new build, and refurbishment to hotels, offices, flats, domestic housing, commercial and industrial buildings, schools, hospitals, historic building conservation and restoration. Our small works section deals with general repairs, extensions and minor contracts.

We employ direct labour consisting of joiners, carpenters, bricklayers, masons, plasterers, plumbers and decorators, in addition to general operatives. All are trained in the more specialised areas of their craft and are CSCS accredited. We also have our own joiners’ shop employing experienced joiners and run our own transport, plant and equipment.

We can cover a full spectrum in all aspects of construction to a project value of £6 million and are able, should this be required, to provide a full design and build service with financial assistance for suitable projects.

At present our geographical working area predominently covers Dorset, Devon, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wilshire. However, we would be pleased to consider more distant regions.
